Can you develop and deliver exciting and creative projects across East London which will help to educate people about genes, bring buy-in and ownership for the project and help hold the project to account in the long run in regard to medical research? Can you unleash the power of social media to promote these projects?
We are looking to fill the role of a Community Development Practitioner for East London Genes & Health. You will support the Project Manager in designing the community engagement projects. You will be responsible for the delivery of creative engagement projects in regard to the ongoing research we are carrying out across five East London Boroughs. You will be required to gather participation from a cluster of schools, faith institutions and community organisations in order to meet our targets.
You will be expected to manage activities in a way that ensures responsibilities are fulfilled in a professional and collaborative manner in line with Social Action for Health’s values. Active contribution within the project team; effective and efficient communication; accurate monitoring and reporting; and building strong community and project team relationships are all elements critical for success in this role.
