Thursday 10th March is Social Prescribing Day and The Health Tree project will be having its second public event titled “Celebrating Social Prescribing”!
"Social prescribing" are words we are hearing more and more in regards to health; the idea of prescribing an activity rather than a pill. In Tower Hamlets there are some amazing people leading these services.
This event will celebrate social prescribers in Tower Hamlets and the activities on offer. It is also an opportunity for people to find out more about how social prescribing works in our area.
There will be workshops led by Spare Tyre on their Covid Café work, Social Action for Health on their My Moves dance, and the Tower Hamlets GP Care network.
There’s also an opportunity to meet people involved in social prescribing, do lots of networking, take part in an art workshop, and enjoy a free lunch.
